BYLAWS
1.
Tournaments will be held from safe light
until 3:30 PM and will be held on the first Saturday after the first
Monday of
each month.
2.
Yearly dues will be $30.00 per person.
Dues are 100% payback at the Classic.
3.
All tournaments will be located at Clay
Landing.
4.
Entry fee will be $60.00 per boat (including
big bass) and will pay back 100%.
5.
Artificial lures ONLY, with the exception of
pork rinds.
6.
No fishing within 50 yards of another boat.
7.
No blocking of creeks/canals.
8.
Ties will be broken by big fish first and if
still tied a coin will be tossed.
9.
Must fish five tournaments per year to
qualify for the Classic (Classic is NOT included in the five).
MEMBERSHIP
Each proposed new
member will be voted on for membership in Suwannee River Bassmasters by
the
majority of club members at the quarterly club meeting or by the board
of
directors at any club tournament before the start of said tournament. We the members of Suwannee River Bassmasters
also reserve the right to vote out any member during the tournament
year by
submitting in writing the reason of the request to the officers of the
club and
to return his/her membership dues for that year. To
vote out a member we must have a majority
of the club members present. There will
be no change in the bylaws or rules during the tournament year. All requests for changes must be submitted in
writing before the first meeting of the new year and approved by the
officers. Each member will be entitled
to bring a guest that will be allowed to
fish as a non-member up to two times per year.
MEETINGS
Quarterly
meetings will be held at the boat ramp 15 minutes prior to take-off. There will be no penalty for missing
meetings.
PROTEST
All
protests must be given in writing to the
tournament director before the weigh-in and will be decided upon by the
board
of directors. All decisions will be
final.
TOURNAMENT
LIMIT
Five fish limit
per boat. Largemouth and Suwannee bass
only, minimum twelve inches in length.
DEAD FISH
A dead fish
penalty will be assessed at 4 ounces per dead fish.
SHORT FISH
There will be no
courtesy check at the weigh-in. Once the
fish have been given to the weigh-master, they will become property of
Suwannee
River Bassmasters. Any angler bringing a
short fish to the scale will be penalized 3 pounds plus short fish.
SAFETY
Anytime your boat
is on plane, you must wear a Coast Guard-approved life vest. All state and local laws must be obeyed.
CLASSIC
The last
tournament of the year will be the Classic in May.
All money collected from membership dues will
be put into a separate purse and will be divided 50/30/20 between
first,
second, and third places, respectively. You
must fish at least five of the eleven tournaments in
order to
qualify for the Classic. If a new member
joins the club with less than five tournaments remaining in the year,
he/she
will not be eligible to fish the Classic.
MONTHLY TOURNAMENT
PAYOUT
The designated
$60.00 tournament fee will be distributed as follows:
$50.00 towards
total weight pot
$10.00 towards
big fish pot
The number of
payouts per tournament are determined by the number of boats entered in
each
monthly tournament. Payouts are scheduled
as follows:
1-6 boats entered
= 1 payout place plus big fish
7-9 boats entered
= 2 payout places plus big fish
10-29 boats
entered = 3 payout places plus big fish
30-39 boats
entered = 4 payout places plus big fish
40-49 boats
entered = 5 payout places plus big fish
50-59 boats
entered = 6 payout places plus big fish
60-69 boats
entered = 7 payout places plus big fish
70-79 boats
entered = 8 payout places plus big fish
80-89 boats
entered = 9 payout places plus big fish
Etc.
SPORTSMANSHIP
We ask that
everyone show true sportsmanship to fellow competitors.
